Networking & Mentorship

At MaineECO, we believe the most meaningful professional growth happens in relationship—through connection, reflection, and shared learning over time. Our mentorship services, workshops, and networking opportunities are designed to offer tailored, responsive support for individuals and programs looking to deepen or expand their outdoor nature-based practice.

Common Ground: A Collaborative Learning Initiative

A MaineECO and Bowdoin College Children’s Center Partnership

Rooted in belonging, this partnership advances nature-based learning that honors children’s identities, cultures, abilities, and lived experiences. Through shared professional learning and reflective practice, educators work together to remove barriers to outdoor learning and intentionally create inclusive environments where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to belong in nature.

Offering a four-session workshop focused on designing outdoor, nature-based learning experiences that foster belonging, equity, and healthy development for every child.

“Reconnecting the human species with the rest of the world is the great work of the 21st century. Some of this work can be done by Congress or by the UN, by business and education and the great conservation organizations. The rest of it will be accomplished through small and meaningful acts, no more complicated than stepping outside among the trees with the people we love.”
